The pipeline from comics to film adaptations has been fairly common over the past decade. Some movies and TV shows are scheduled within as little as a year of a comic’s release, such as Something is killing the children. With all these comic book movies, fans are asking more and more from certain directors and writers.

The perfect team for the perfect comic book movie adaptation can be hard to find, but there are plenty of pairings that fans will want to see.

10/10 Ice Cream Man can start a cinematic universe

9/10 Saga is the next great space opera after Star Wars

Vaughn’s first creator-made series opposite Fiona Staples, after years of working for major comic companies, is a fantasy space opera with a love story at its heart. saga focuses on Alana and Marko, two lovers from opposite sides of a war trying to escape the war together with their daughter.

As a screenwriter and producer on several shows including Marvel’s runaways and Lost, Vaughn is the only person who should write the film version. Since saga was similarly described Lord of the RingsPeter Jackson would be an inspired choice to direct.

And Craig Zobel, Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing are perfect for the adaptation

Director of the controversial The huntCraig Zobel is capable of taking on directing responsibilities, especially after proving he can pull off great fight scenes.

Consisting of only 3 issues, created by Grant Morrison, with art by Frank Quitely and Jamie Grant, We3 follows a trio of animals turned into weapons. The small group consists of a dog, a cat and a rabbit, fit for bloody military operations before escaping to freedom despite suffering many casualties.

Joe Dante and Don Mancini both had a chance to create and perfect tiny, chaotic killers. Dante directed both gremlins movies & Little Soldiers while Mancini wrote everything chucky movies. The couple teaming up would make for a gory and heartbreaking movie We3‘s original run.

6/10 Fables mixes myths with modern problems

Featuring several popular characters from fairy tales, folklore and myths, fablescreated by Bill Willingham for Vertigo, follows modern-day residents of Fabletown as they deal with conflict, people, and a deadly enemy known as The Adversary. fables had several spin-offs and prequels, including the better-known video game, The wolf among us.

John D. Payne and Patrick McKay are the duo that was revived Lord of the Rings Series than the authors of The Rings of Powerwhich shows their impressive ability to adapt and evolve material as they can fables. Michael Matthews is a lesser known director, starring love and monsters His biggest film, but the South African director has proven he can work with monsters and men with his smaller works and short films.

5/10 Blankets is a deep, emotional coming-of-age story

Which Stephen Chbosky is the perfect director

Created and lived by Craig Thompson, Cover is an autobiographical graphic novel that focuses on Thompson’s first love as he struggles with his faith. Cover is an emotional coming-of-age roller coaster that will keep the reader hooked and read and feel until the end.

Since the lived experiences are his, Thompson would be the best choice as a screenwriter. Assisting Thompson and directing assignments would be best suited to Stephen Chbosky. Chbosky is a writer, screenwriter, and director of The perks of Being a Wallflower which contains similar topics as Cover, and has served as director of Wonder and Dear Evan Hansen.

4/10 We Can Never Go Home needs an adaptation

Teamed up with Emerald Fennell and Bo Burnham

We can never go home Duncan and Madison

Publisher: Black Mask, We can never go home was created by Josh Hood, Matthew Rosenberg and Patrick Kindlon. The story focuses on Madison, a super-powered teenage girl, and Duncan, a troubled teen who isn’t afraid to use his gun as they try to run away from home but end up getting involved in violence and crime.

Emerald Fennell is the writer and director of The Deeply Impactful promising young woman a tale of just revenge. Bo Burnham is also successful as a writer and director with his film Eighth class, a story about modern teenagers. The pair could easily team up to tackle We can never go home which sits midway between her two famous works, with superpowers thrown in for good measure.

3/10 A Young Avengers movie is coming soon

And is the perfect second chance for Chloe Zhao and Angela Robinson

Chu works in a post-poultry world where he solves crimes thanks to his cibopathy. A film version can be played as a nice mix Hannibal and Se7en.

The writer-director duo behind it Everything, everywhere, all at once and Swiss army man, Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, are the best duo for the job. They’ve showcased their skills with both films, merging comedic and dramatic moments that fans would enjoy all at once Chew Movie.

The group has found massive success in the horror world thanks to V/H/S, Ready or Notand Scream (2020). Their history in this genre gives them the perfect amount of experience to handle Hack/Slash in his transition to the screen.
