Walker showed his big play ability with a 92-yard touchdown catch when Aliquippa and Central Valley met in Week 9. He has a team-high of 32 catches for 584 yards and six touchdowns, but also leads the quips in interceptions with five. His list of Division I offerings includes Akron, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Ohio and others.

Remarkable: Aliquippa is the Defending WPIAL and PIAA Class 4A Champion. The team defeated Belle Vernon in the 2021 WPIAL Finals 28-13… The Quips have made the WPIAL Championship game for 15thth Year in a row began a streak in 2008…Aliquippa defeated Central Valley in the regular season finals on October 28, 35-24…the team has won 23 straight games dating back to Week 1 of last season…Aliquippa’s attacking average is 40 .7 ppg and the defense allows 9.5…Mike Warfield is 58-5 in five seasons as coach of Aliquippa. Four of those five losses went to Central Valley. … LB Cameron Lindsey and RB/CB Tiqwai Hayes each have Pitt, Penn State and West Virginia among their collegiate offerings … DL Jason McBride has a team high of 49 tackles, Lindsey has 47 and Naquan Crowder has 46 … the team has five Defensively scores touchdowns, including two from Crowder, who returned a fiddly 87 yards in the semifinals.

FitzSimmons waited until his senior year to take over as the team’s main running back, but he took full advantage of his opportunity that fall. He averaged 10 yards per carry, 143.6 rushing yards per game and 30 total touchdowns. In the Week 9 game against Aliquippa, he reached the end zone twice.

Remarkable: Central Valley has won the WPIAL Class 3A title in each of the last three seasons and celebrated the state title in 2020 and 2021…the team defeated North Catholic 52-15 in last year’s WPIAL 3A championship game…updated enrollment numbers brought the Warriors up Class 4A when the PIAA rebalanced their classifications…the Warriors had won four straight games against the Quips before losing 35-24 in Week 9…that loss sparked a 36-game winning streak from Central Valley, the longest active in the state… Central Valley’s offense averages 42.3 ppg and defense allows 10 ppg… RB Bret FitzSimmons has rushed for 100 yards in 11 of the team’s 12 games. Aliquippa was the only opponent to keep him under 100… FitzSimmons leads the team with 30 total touchdowns and Jayvin Thompson has 16… Thompson lists Army, Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan among his Division I offerings… DL Jackson Tonya leads the team with 57 solo tackles on and 11 sacks. Matt Gerovac has 10 sacks…Thomson has five interceptions and Deniro Simpson has three…Central Valley defeated Aliquippa, 13-12, in overtime in the 2019 WPIAL 3A Championship.
