Milton (Ga.) High School 30, Norcross (Ga.) High School (8-4) 23 in the second round of the Class 7A playoffs – Norcross receiver Nakai Poole had six catches for 113 yards and a touchdown, two rushes for nine yards and a touchdown; Season stats: 53 catches for 803 yards and eight touchdowns, 16 rushes for 69 yards and five touchdowns, three kickoff returns for 53 yards. Defensively, 10 tackles (six solos) and a fumble recovery.

Bay Springs High School (12-1) 42, West Lowndes High School 0 in second round of Class 1A playoffs – Bay Springs running back/linebacker Ty Jones had 15 rushes for 87 yards and three touchdowns. Had two tackles defensively; Season stats: 135 rushes for 1,517 yards and 24 touchdowns, one catch for 16 yards. Defensively, 44 tackles (21 solos), 16.5 tackles for losses, six sacks (one for a safety), a fumble recovery (returned for a touchdown), and 11 quarterback rushes.

Katy (Texas) High School (12-0) 62, Memorial (Texas) High School 21 in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs – Katy runs back Seth Davis had 10 carries for 268 yards and three touchdowns (only played the first half); Season stats: 161 carries for 1,788 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Tupelo High School (13-0) 28, Madison Central High School 7 in second round of Class 6A playoffs – Tupelo offensive tackle Zey Alexander.

Ocean Springs High School 42, Oak Grove High School (10-3) 25 in second round of Class 6A playoffs – Oak Grove defensive back/receiver Jaylen Aborom had five catches for 65 yards and a touchdown. Had four tackles and two PBUs defensively; Season stats: 43 catches for 583 yards and seven touchdowns, one rush for 15 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, 13 tackles (five solos), five PBUs and an interception.

FW Buchholz (Fla.) High School (9-2) 54, Crestview (Fla.) High School 33 in the second round of the 4S District 3 Playoffs – Buchholz quarterback Creed Whittemore was 13 of 22 passes for 278 yards with three touchdowns, 10 rushes for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Had two tackles and three interceptions defensively; Season stats: 154 of 241 passes for 2,409 yards with 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions, 103 rushes for 794 yards and 11 touchdowns. Defensively four tackles (two solos) and four interceptions.

Oakland (Tenn.) High School 48, Blackman (Tenn.) High School (10-3) 23 in the third round of the Class 6A playoffs – Blackman receiver Justin Brown had a catch for five yards and six carries for 77 yards. Had six defensive tackles (four solos) and one interception; Season stats: 74 catches for 1,229 yards and 18 touchdowns, 28 rushes for 214 yards and five touchdowns, and 14 kickoff returns for 248 yards. Defensively, 62 tackles (55 solos), two interceptions and 5.5 tackles for losses.


Franklin Road (Tenn.) Academy (10-2) advanced to the second round of the Division 2, Class AA playoffs – Franklin Road Academy offensive tackle Joe Crocker.

Holmes County Central High School (6-5) advanced to the first round of the Class 5A playoffs – Central Defense End of Holmes County Joseph head; Season stats: 70 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, 17 quarterback hurries, one PBU, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. A catch for 20 meters.

Laurel High School (6-6) advanced to the first round of the Class 5A playoffs – Laurel offensive tackle Malik Ellis.

Hattiesburg High School (7-5) advanced to the first round of the Class 5A playoffs – Hattiesburg linebacker Tabias Hinton; Season stats: 66 tackles (45 solos), 6.5 sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries, one PBU, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Clarksdale High School (10-2) advanced to the second round of the Class 4A playoffs – Clarksdale defender/quarterback Kelly Jones; Season stats: 27 of 68 passes for 558 yards with 10 touchdowns and four interceptions, 131 rushes for 1,424 yards and 19 touchdowns, a kickoff return for 27 yards, and a punt return for 46 yards and a touchdown. Defensively 67 tackles (35 solos) and seven PBUs.

Ravenwood (Tenn.) High School (6-5) advanced to the first round of the Class 6A playoffs – Ravenwood quarterback Chris Parson; Season stats: 86 of 113 passes for 1,041 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions, 58 rushes for 519 yards and five touchdowns.

High School Florence (7-4) – Florence linebacker/receiver Zakari Tillmann; Season stats: 57 tackles (35 solos), one forced fumble, one PBU, two quarterback hurries, and 13 tackles for loss. On offense, he has 12 catches for 120 yards and one touchdown, nine rushes for 52 yards.

Southwest Mississippi Community College (2-7) – Southwest receiver Jacoby Bellazar; Season stats: 28 catches for 505 yards and four touchdowns, seven kickoff returns for 195 yards.
