Prisco’s Week 12 NFL picks: Cowboys, Bills blow out opponents on Thanksgiving; Titans take revenge on Bengals

Finally it happened. I’ve had a good week in all three areas of the picking game.

I went 4-2 on my best bets as part of the Pick Six podcast, 11-3 straight up and 7-5-2 against the spread in my expert picks from CBSSports.com.

That takes my best bet record to 38-25-2, which I’m glad about. The straight record now stands at 95-69 and the ATS record is 74-82-8. The last one needs to get back above 0.500, so that’s the target for the next few weeks.

Let’s hope the holiday week is kind to me, starting with a Thanksgiving sweep in games with teams with some impressive records.

Thursday, 12:30 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Game | Detroit Lions vs. Buffalo Bills

This has what it takes to be a game with a lot of offense. Both teams can score, but the Bills can really score. You’ll field a big number here as Josh Allen wins a second straight game in Detroit after beating the Browns in the same building last week. The track is fast and the Bills can fly. The lions won’t keep up.

Choose: Bills 40, Lions 23

Thursday, 4:30 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Game | Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants

The Giants put on a terrible showing at home against the Lions, which means they may have been expecting this one. The Cowboys did everything right with their overwhelming victory over the Vikings. The defense dominated and will dominate here too. The Giants are too limited on offense.

Choose: Cowboys 31, Giants 14

Thursday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC, FuboTV)

Featured Game | Minnesota Vikings vs. New England Patriots

The Vikings were embarrassed at home on Sunday being knocked out by the cowboys. They will recover and play better here. New England’s offense is struggling, but the defense is playing well. Still, I think the Vikings will react offensively in this game to win it. The Patriots offense is bad.

Choose: Vikings 24, Patriots 14

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Game | Carolina Panthers vs. Denver Broncos

This is the dog game of the week with two terrible offenses. First 1 to 10 wins? Denver has the better defense but at home I think the Panthers will find a way to win this game. Denver keeps fighting.

Choose: Panthers 17, Broncos 13

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Game | Cleveland Browns vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs are first out of the bye and appear poised to get their season underway as expected. You’ll be healthier, and that’s going to matter later, starting here in this one. The Browns are bad on defense so look to Tom Brady for a solid day. The Browns’ running game is limited. Bucs take it.

Choose: Buc’s 30, Brown’s 17

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Game | Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Jaguars say goodbye with a tough home game against the Ravens. Baltimore’s defense has come alive in recent weeks and will present a real challenge for Trevor Lawrence. Lamar Jackson and the offense need to pick it up. This will be a low score, but it’s close.

Choose: Ravens 21, jaguars 20

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Game | Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans

The Dolphins are the big favorites from the bye. The Texans could make a quarterback change, but that doesn’t matter. The Dolphins have been explosive on offense all year, and that’s not going to change this year. Tua Tagovailoa keeps it going in a blowout.

Choose: Dolphins 36, Texans 14

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Game | New York Jets vs. Chicago Bears

It won’t be nice if Justin Fields can’t play. Both offenses would be severely restricted. The Jets have the much better defense that is on the verge of becoming dominant. That’s the difference no matter who plays for these two quarterbacks.

Choose: Jets 20, Bears 14

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Game | Tennessee Titans vs. Cincinnati Bengals

This is a replay of last January’s playoff game in which the Bengals upset the Titans on the street. The Bengals have been playing much better lately but they are playing back-to-back road games while the Titans will be rested after last Thursday’s game. Derrick Henry wasn’t himself when they played in the playoffs last season. He is now. Titans take it behind them.

Choose: Titans 27, Bengal 21

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Game | Washington Commanders vs. Atlanta Falcons

This is a kind of playoff game. Both teams are still alive. Washington turned the season around thanks to its defense. Taylor Heinicke also makes contemporary moves. The Falcons are limited on offense, that’s the difference. Washington stays hot.

Choose: Commanders 27, Falcons 17

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Game | Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Chargers

The Cardinals looked terrible losing to the 49ers in Mexico and are now playing with their playoff hopes on the line. The Chargers are losing to the Chiefs, but they showed some life on offense this game. This continues as Justin Herbert has a big day.

Choose: Chargers 30, Cardinals 20

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS, Paramount+)

Featured Game | Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are coming off a bye as the Raiders play a second straight road game. Bad combination. The Raiders have major defensive problems that will show up against a good offensive in Seattle. Geno Smith and the Seahawks take it.

Choose: Seahawks 31, Raiders 24

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Game | Kansas City Chiefs vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are a mess while the Chiefs ride high. The Rams have health issues and likely won’t have Matthew Stafford. That’s a problem. The Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes and he’s going to split up this Rams defense. blowout city.

Choose: Chiefs 37, Rams 13

Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (Fox, FuboTV)

Featured Game | San Francisco 49ers vs. New Orleans Saints

The 49ers pull off an impressive win over the Cardinals in Mexico. They seem to be rolling on the offensive with all their guns. The Saints beat the Rams last week with Andy Dalton playing well. I think they’re going to hang around this game as the 49ers have a short week. It’s closer than expected.

Choose: 49ers 24, Saints 20

Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC, FuboTV)

Featured Game | Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers

The Packers’ playoff chances are barely alive, but this is a real challenge to try and keep them alive. Aaron Rodgers didn’t play well last week but I think he’s playing better here. The Eagles haven’t looked good in the last two games. The Packers are keeping it tight.

Choose: Eagle 26, Packer 21

Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET (ESPN, FuboTV)

Featured Game | Indianapolis Colts vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Colts appeared on course to be 2-0 under Jeff Saturday last week but blew a lead against the Eagles late on. The Steelers hung around against the Bengals, with Kenny Pickett doing better as a quarterback. The Steelers’ defense is much better with TJ Watt at the back and I think that front will keep the Steelers going into this game.

Choose: Colt’s 20, Steeler’s 19
